Travis Sherman is a seasoned healthcare executive and advisor specializing in strategy, value-based care (VBC), and the success of entities operating under Risk/VBC reimbursement models. With 17 years of experience, Travis has led the development of 50 VBC strategic partnerships serving some of the nation’s leading providers and payers.
Previously, Travis was a Director in the commercial healthcare consulting practice at Guidehouse, Inc. There, he led the firm’s PayVider solutions, focusing on the planning, implementation, and optimization of risk entities, including ACO, CINs, MSOs, payer-provider JVs and alliances, provider-sponsored health plans, and investor-financed clinical solutions.
Previously, Travis held executive roles with Medicare enablement startups Lumeris and Honest Medical Group, where he was a founding senior team member. In these roles, he held P&L responsibility for over $1 billion in premium revenue and services managing risk for over 1 million lives across 12 states. Early in his career Travis spent 10 years in health systems, including leading a CIN composed of over 3,000 physicians affiliated with nationally ranked academic medical center.
Travis earned a Master of Healthcare Administration degree from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Iowa. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
